Pokémon Augmented takes place in the Gear Region, which houses the famous Gear City, whose founder created a new way to battle! That way of battling is called augmentation. Augmentation can have various effects depending on what species has been augmented! Such examples include type changes or additions, stat adjustments, ability changes, powering up certain moves, or a mixture of the above. However, this technology isn't flawless and will short out and break after enough time has passed or enough damage has been taken. Once this happens, both the user and target will take some recoil damage once before the Pokémon reverts to its non-augmented form.
