Pokemon Rising Earth

After writing a letter to Professor Oak, who in turn gives you your first ever Pokemon, you begin your Pokemon journey in the mountainous Orhea Region. As you travel through Caverns and up steep hills, you coincidentally uncover a conspiracy that could lead to the destruction of the Regions entire ecosystem. You and your best friend will have to race against time, deep into the earth to stop a catastrophe from happening, as you have a powerful and well respected organization against you - but what really is their ultimate goal?

I've been thinking about making a Pokemon game for a few years actually, since I always enjoyed playing fanmade games, but I never really had the time to do anything of sorts. But then 2020 happened and we all suddenly had an overabundance of time. The original concept of this dates way back and it started as a theoretical sequel to X/Y. Originally I would've wanted to map the entirety of Kalos for this, but then I realized Lumiose City is a thing and also that Kalos' entire geography was really bad for what I wanted to do with it. I eventually decided to port it into a new region and over time removed all the references to X/Y (well most of them anyway).

This is my first forray into Pokemon Essentials and as such this game is very basic when you break it down, without any groundbreaking or dazzling features. My main focus was the story as well as, well, getting the whole thing to work. I might stop this paragraph right here though, I realize I'm not making the best (hypothetical) sales pitch here.

Features
• All Pokemon Gen 1 to Gen 8 are included
• Almost every Pokemon is obtainable
• New Region to explore
• New villianous team, the Pokemon Paladins
• Gyms don't focus on Types, but rather mechanics, gameplay concepts or certain subgroups of Pokemon
• Fairy-Type and Mega Evolution included, every Mega Stone is obtainable before the Elite Four (except for Mewtwos)
• Level scaling is balanced around the new EXP-Share (EXP All, if you will) (it's effectively a 90° angle at some points due to this)
• A rather high difficulty in battles (at least for me it is)
• Special Trainers in every Pokemon Center to help with grinding
• 120 TM, that serve as a condensation of Gen7/Gen8 TMs and TRs
• Every Route and City has an encounter or Gift Pokemon of some kind (for Nuzlocke purposes)
• Full Plot, 8 Gyms and Pokemon League included in the current version
• Minimal Post-Game currently (mostly Legendary Encounters) but will be expanded on in the future
• Speed-Up Feature is bound to the Q button by default (I dunno where else to put this in this post, but I gotta mention it somewhere, so here you go.

Bugs
• You can buy Coins in the Game Corner without having the Coin Case.

Anything mentioned here will be fixed in the next Version.

I actually found a possible bug where in the game corner the coin seller still let you buy coins even without the owning the coin case in the first place

a little typo in the jewelry store regarding the husband when you rescued him, he said as part of the dialogue "it is a special procedure to strenghen a Pokémon during battle when it should be strengthen.
When facing the first rock you come across in route 10 you got the option to press c and surf on land
For some reason you cannot revive fossil(maybe this only affect old amber),when you press c after choosing old amber, the scientist in the museum said "let me know if you want me to revive a fossil for you." But if you press x when in the bag while choosing fossil, this pops up and closes the game on its own afterward.

That one slipped right through, noted it, gonna fix it.

I suppose that means there's a water tile where there shouldn't be, gonna look into that.

Damn, I thought I fixed that, turns out I didn't. Honestly I might just straight up let them give you Aerodactyl and just scrap the Fossil Reviver with how much trouble it gave me.

Thank you though.

you can walk through Jackson's father as long as he is at the beach
turns out all other fossils might have the same problem too, although we can catch the evo by that time
Also if you try to fly back to forlorn Isle you landed inside the poke center (at this spot to be exact)for some unknown reason.

I'll be honest I had both of those on my list of bugs already but somehow didn't fix them when I put this out; must've skimmed past them somehow. Either way I fixed it now.

I'm also implementing EBDX for the next version, because I've played around with it a bit and it's not as hard as I thought it would be.

As soon as you enter this room in paladin hideout it auto switch to bike for some unknown reason
Then this error pops up and closes the game on its own which technically make some items and the two mega stone become unavailable

I see what causes the issue in both things... God damnit. I'll probably release a V1.1 sometime during the next week with a lot of Bugfixes.

How do you evolve Eevee into a Sylveon in this game cause leveled him up while knowing a fairy move and it started evolving into an espeon.

Eevee evolves into Sylveon using a Shiny Stone. That is because I got a game crash when trying to evolve into Sylveon, that apparently was caused by the two overlapping evolution methods. And since it's easier to change one evolution method than to change two, Sylveon now evolves via Shiny Stone.

might want to buff rivals team a bit epically his mega sceptile team, since that team is pretty unbalanced to the point a weavile can almost solo it

I thought about that, especially later in the game he seemed rather easy. I'll wait for some more opinions then I'll have a look on what to do.
Is Battle Bond greninja in the game?
Regular Greninja yes, Battle Bond Greninja no.

Pokemon Method Evolution Poliwhirl Use Dawn Stone Politoed Kadabra Level 38 Alakazam Machoke Level 42 Machamp Graveler Level 40 Golem Slowpoke Use Water Stone Slowking Magneton Use Thunder Stone Magnezone Haunter Level 40 Gengar Onix Level 40 Steelix Rhydon Level 59 Rhyperior Seadra Level-Up with Dragon Pulse Kingdra Scyther Level 45 Scizor Electabuzz Use Thunder Stone Electrivire Magmar Use Fire Stone Magmortar Eevee Use Leaf Stone Leafeon Eevee Use Ice Stone Glaceon Eevee Use Shiny Stone Sylveon Porygon Level 35 Porygon2 Porygon2 Level 48 Porygon-Z Nosepass Thunder Stone Probopass Feebas Water Stone Milotic Dusclops Dusk Stone Dusknoir Clamperl Dusk Stone Huntail Clamperl Shiny Stone Gorebyss Boldore Level 40 Gigalith Gurdurr Level 42 Conkeldurr Karrablast Level 35 Escavalier Shellmet Level 35 Accelgor Spritzee Level 38 Aromatisse Swirlix Level 38 Slurpuff Phantumb Leaf Stone Trevenant Pumpkaboo Leaf Stone Gourgeist Charjabug Thunder Stone Vikavolt Crabrawler Ice Stone Crabominable Meltan Level 56 Melmetal Applin Level 35 if Male Appletun Applin Level 35 if Female Flapple Sinistea Dusk Stone Polteageist Galarian Slowpoke Sun Stone Galarian Slowbro Galarian Slowpoke Dusk Stone Galarian Slowking Galarian Linoone Level 35 at Night Obstagoon

I actually changed a lot of evolutions, including some Gen 8 ones that used Items to, well, make things easier for me when it comes to distributing Evolution Items. Here's a handy table I used; Gurdurr specifically evolves at Level 42.

There is a Trader that allows you to trade your regular Farfetch'd for a galarian one, evolution method is just like in the main game. That Trader is however in Omegata Town, which is the last Town you'll visit in the game.

I uploaded a new download link for a new version of the game. This one should fix the bugs that have reported to me so far*, while also implementing EBDX and a more stylish Pause menu by Voltseon. There are no balance changes in this one, I'll do that in a future release.

*the Coin Case bug is not fixed yet because somehow I'm not able to, but I decided it doesn't matter since for story progression you're gonna have to pick up the Coin Case literally the first time you can enter the Game Corner.

A new version has been uploaded, simply because in the previous version a mapping error blocked the road at Route 10, which should be all fixed with this one now.
