Hey guys! I'm BIGJRA, and I've been a member of Relic Castle since I thiiiink the very beginning, or close to that. My first fangame ever was FireRed Omega back in 2008 or so and since then I've played over 100 releases to some degree of ROM hacks and RMXP games.

That said, you guys don't know me because I'm just that one lazy bum that signs up for websites like this so I get to play your awesome games, and I haven't really ever posted much (on here). Maybe I'll start doing that, hehe. I've dabbled in some spriting in the past, though it's just been recolors for shinies in Pokemon Rejuvenation, nothing that impressive yet. Other than that, my greatest fan game making achievements include: spreadsheeting out wild encounters for a region I never followed through on in the slightest, painting random tiles over everything in AdvanceMap in about 2009 when I was the ripe age of ten, and sitting on the open steam window for RMXP wondering when I'll finally get around to making something. Impressive, I know. Maybe one day I'll go somewhere with it, but as of now, I'm content being a sarcastic critic but overall enthusiastic player of all your games!

You can find me elsewhere with the same username or with a 441 slapped on the end as an Ace Member on Pokemon Reborn (which as a note is my favorite fangame!!), my dead youtube channel where I played the first release of a now discontinued fangame called Se7en, Insurgence Forums if you really care, and all over only the finest of subreddits. Additionally, if you're looking for a laugh or an opportunity to cry, you can look through all the posts of my old Serebii Forums account back when I was a lovely young 11 or 12 year old.

Anyways, irl I'm Jake, a 17 year old cynic from California. I play water polo and swim, though unfortunately not at the same time as playing Pokemon. I chose the picture of my dogs, Rocky and Ruby, since the browse opened too that folder and I just felt like it fit, but maybe I'll find some witty Pokememe to change it to in the future. Anyways, nice to meet ya's and hopefully I'll make more friends and be more active here.

I am back from the dead.

Darius Oak here! I believe I joined the original Relic Castle back in 2015, but I wasn't very active, especially after my group's Pokemon fangame project was dissolved following the Uranium debacle. Me and forums never were a perfect match, but that's fine, because this reboot looks like it'll keep me on more often. I also really like hyperlinks.

Right now my group is working on non-Pokemon projects (which I won't advertise) and I continue to dabble in music. Gently; I'm not all that good. I used to be in close contact with Pokemon fan music writers like TheGuitahHeroe, SuperiorLarxene, and lala19357, and even now I still talk to AlmightyArceus. More recently I've collaborated with Emdasche and have been chatting with LD3005. Heck, my connection to TGH got me loosely connected to Kirran from TeamFourStar. How cool is that?!

I have a little side-project going at the moment where I'm writing up ideas to mess with Pokemon Emerald, but in my own twisted way. I'll pitch it properly some other day.

Besides all that, I like Fire Emblem (flame shield ready), Super Smash Bros., dabbling in voice acting and impressions, and writing until my brain has shriveled like a wrung towel. Also my sense of humor is blacker than pitch. I'll try to keep it clean. Feel free to approach me; I don't bite.

Hello everyone! It´s Xaveriux, also a member with my mates and friends of the Spanish fangames community. I´ve been playing Pokémon since Yellow was released, and until now!
Also I´ve been using Essentials since several years, but it´s now when I´m taking it seriously, developing an own project, which I hope that someday I can post it here.

Nothing else by now, I wish I can contribute to the fangames´s growth with resources, tutorials, feedback and all kind of help, and also with a project! See ya!

Since everyone is introducing themselves here I might as well do the same!

My name is Jeremy, but everyone just calls me by my nickname, Jephed.

Almost an entire year ago I came to the old Relic Castle forum to learn a lot about Pokémon Fan games and Fan games in General. Seeing the progress other people make on their game inspires me to work hard as well.
I've already met a ton of great people through Relic Castle, and I hope I'll continue to do so on this new site.

Besides Pokémon I really like the Mario series, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Yu-Gi-Oh, and lots more.
I really enjoy making pixelart, but I also aim to become better at programming.

Not much else for me to say I guess.

Bye!

Hello everybody, Arma here!

I got introduced to this site in 2015, but I've been into making fan-games since 2010. Level design has always been my favourite thing about developping, and I think I can safely say that mapping is my strongest suit when it comes down to it.

Despite this, college life has gotten far too busy to seriously take on any projects, and as such, I only make a rogue map every two months or so. Haven't been active at all either here on the site, but I do enjoy lurking around from time to time.

Guess that about wraps it up, hope to see you guys around!

Hey!

Je m'apple Luka. I like to use the <div> tags along with CSS a lot. Don't judge. Idk when I joined the original RC Forums. I'm mainly spamming this to get my post count up. </joke> I aim to collect the 8 badges so that I can challenge the E4 and eventually become the champion of RC (pls gimme moar badges).

I've started out as a n00b around late 2009, just getting into Fangame development. Essentials was pretty crap back then, but it still provided us with the necessary stuff we desparately needed to get our games going. I started out with a fangame of my own, which I eventually decided to stop working on (early 2013). I took an interest in programming early on, and this excess of curiosity lead me to eventually polish up my programming skills and learn all kinds of stuff. I tried pretty much everything when it comes to game design, and I hope to further improve my skills and move into all sorts of branches of game dev. These days I lurk around, and post random content that others can use to maybe spice up their fangames a little bit. I'm probably most well known for EBS. I do do other stuff as well.

Saluton! Chino here! I got a nice little email today telling me to check this all out.

I'm just really a stalker of fan games. For maybe about...2 years? idk. I made a website once organizing them all on one page, each with a picture. It looked coolio.

I pop in and out of this community from time to time. Major reason, my computer is potato and does not have enough space for pokemon essentials. So, I've kinda lost meaning there :/ Maybe I could try making something on another platform some time.

Anyways, I do programming and digital art sometimes. Learning digital music composition as well! I like engineering and I really like to criticize people! You're probably going to skip over this post anyways. If I add a picture in here, it's much more likely you'll read this. But I don't really have anything to show you.

Anyways, I'm just here to tell you to do your best~!

Oi! Since everyone is introducing themselves even though most people seem to know each other already I'll do the same. As most fo you know I was the creator and lead developer of Pokémon Uranium, which I worked for 9 years (maybe 10, idk, I started it a few months before joining forces with Involuntary-Twitch). For good or for the worse, after the success and sudden collapse of the game a lot of people know me in the interwebs. I can do basically anything regarding fangames, except spriting pokémon and trainers and writting good dialogue, which made me and Twitch a perfect fit for a fangame team. I specially used to like coding, mapping and overall managing and imagining the project.

I have no plans on ever working on a full fledged fangame ever again, but I DO consider participating on a Game Jam or working on a few scripts eventually. While the huge success with Uranium didn't achieve anything for me financially, it did wonders for my career on an IT company (they said it was the reason they hired me and I've been growing pretty fast inside there) and allowed me to learn a set of skills that are really useful in any job.

I'll do my best to become active once again on the forums and support the best I can all these upcoming games, I missed the community over this year I've been basically away... :yum

Hey, I'm bonzairob and I'm becoming increasingly uncomfortable with each word I type!

I've been a lurker around Relic Castle for a year or so now, but I've been active in the fakemon world for a loooong time - I started spriting at the Pokémon Factory in 2004, and now somehow I run the place. If only my real life career went so well!

I've got some cool projects coming up that I think people here might like - I'm working on a revamp of PF to turn it into more of a gallery site for fakemon, with lots of useful tools for creating and organising them for fangame makers (stuff like stat suggestions, movelist builders, cry generator, Showdown integration). The other thing is 3dPE, which is a 3D game engine that will be perfect for pokemon fangames in the BW style. I'll be shamelessly promoting both of these here when I'm ready. Well, not entirely shamelessly.

Links are in my signature, probably - signature editor has eaten the links a few times.

Hey, Gin here.

I first joined Relic Castle about a year ago. I never got around to posting much, which I'm hoping to change this time around.

I enjoy fan made games, which should be obvious since I'm here.

Anyway, nice to meet you all & hoping to see what the new forum has to offer!

Hii! I'm an old relic user from the past, who kind of disappeared but is somehow remembered at all. I'll be working on my profile and stuff later. I currently work on a variety of projects using various forms of RPGMaker. For Pokemon fangames, it's always been RPGMaker XP, but I might try to find resources to go in MV instead since I find it easier to work with. Not sure yet.

So...Anyway, I'm Juneberry. I'm a major lover of games and outside that am an editor/writer. If you ever need an editor, FYI, I'm happy to help. I'm best with storyline stuff in general when working on games, too. I'm not much of an artist outside my comic program...

For fangames, I now have two I'm working on sparcely/as I go. I'll tell you about those later. Instead, for now...Just wanna say hi. Let's all get along well :D

Hey, I'm Nitron.

I joined Relic Castle this october and have been a loyal member ever since.
I'm pretty good in most stuff surrounding pokemon fan games; including art, eventing, spriting, mapping, and am decent in scripting.
I am relatively new to Pokemon Essentials, but I am able to help if you need it.

Also, I am the head of Black Trainers Matter, or BTM. Make sure to have a playable character for latinos, asians, and african americans beyond the basic 2 white trainers. Thank You.

Hey! I'm Djaco. I joined this site only a couple of months ago, and I'm really impressed at the level of community it brings to the Pokemon Fan World.

I'm super hyped for the reboot and think it looks amazing! Congrats to the staff team for their brilliant efforts. See you around, everyone. May RelicCastle flourish even more than before!

Hello evrybody and nice to meet you! I am vulvoch, a french maker and an old relic user. I started to play Pokémon with Pokémon Diamond, and since then I continue to like this game. That's the reason for which I decided to make my own Pokémon fangame. I try to progress in programming and pixel art, even if it is a bit difficult in the begining.
The new forum looks amazing, and I hope evrything will go well!

Hey guys, nice to meet you! I'm Flares and a pretty new relic user. I've been visiting Relic Castle for a few years now without having an account, but the reboot somehow made me sign up. I enjoy playing around with Essentials and I also have a few projects started. Right now I'm working on a project which is very promising to me, but let's see where it takes me. In addition I also love playing fan games, but also seeing the progress other users have made. At this point I really have to say how much I like Relic Castle! What I like most about the official games are all kind of Nuzlocke challenges, especially randomized ones. I'm really looking forward to share my game with you and to participate in game jams and other events! See you guys around!

Hello I'm Rommoet and I joined Relic Castle in 2016. I've been not so active, but I like to see what other people are making and I am making my own game bit by bit, and I'm also doing a litle bit of pixelart. I hope there are going to be some cool things on this forum just like the previous one.

TheDarkRattata is my name, and I only joined a couple of months ago. I'm very slowly working on my own game between real life commitments and I really love seeing all the stuff people make. I can't promise I'll be posting much, but I'll be here in the shadows watching everything :)

Hello, my name is updawg734, and I am new to the Relic Castle community. I've been a fan of Pokemon ever since I was a kid, but just recently got into making fan games.

If you are interested in checking out my first attempt at a fan game, the link to the website is here: http://pokemonstratus.weebly.com/. The game is called Pokemon Stratus, an adventure that takes place in the Wako region. A major theme of the game is nature versus technology. It is filled with new characters, badges, and locations, but there are no Fakemon in the game. Please feel free to check out the website and download the game to try it out.

Currently, I am working on what I am hoping will be a much better fan game, Pokemon: Scrolls of Destiny. The games are unrelated (not a sequel). I am going for a much more unique look to this new game, including a full Pokedex of 180 Fakemon. I am currently in the process of implementing all of my Fakemon into the game, and once that is done, I will start working on game development itself. I already have the plot laid out, and the game promises to have a very deep and rich story line.

Please feel free to follow me on Twitter @updawg734, as I will be posting my updates on Scrolls of Destiny on there somewhat frequently. I welcome feedback on either game, and really would like to hear what people think of them. Please feel free to either DM me on Twitter or email me at updawg734@gmail.com for any kind of feedback, suggestions, tips, etc. I would really like to see what people think of my game making skills.

Omniversal Overseer Derxwna Kapsyla wants to fight!

So as gleamed from my username, I am Derxwna Kapsyla, aspiring game developer and shitposter extraordinaire.

Pokemon games have been my all time favorite next to Command & Conquer ever since I was a child, and as a child I always fantasized about my own Pokemon game. Wouldn't you know it, it was only a matter of time before I discovered the ROM Hacking scene and tried to get myself into it!

Except that failed. Miserably. Every time. I was very bad at learning and even worse at asking for help. However, this was fine, as I eventually discovered Pokemon Essentials, and that's when life went from good to great. I absolutely enjoyed using it and was able to pick up on stuff a lot easier (though scripting was still far outside of my domain, still is.), and overtime I released a demo for my first (and now dead) project, Inferno Red, a Gen 2 remake of the Gen 1 games. However, I wanted something... more. And while I was working on Inferno Red, I set out to a new project, a much larger one.

Enter the Touhoumon Essentials Development Starter Kit, or Touhoumon DevKit for short. An add-on for Pokemon Essentials that ports over the concepts and mechanics of Touhou Puppet Play/Touhoumon series of ROM Hacks to RPG Maker XP. This was necessary for my real project: Touhoumon Faith & Prayer Version (which will come to RC eventually, after I actually release the next build). A Touhoumon game of my own design, initially set in the first three regions of the Pokemon world, and then post-game in the Touhou Project's main locale of Gensokyo (though now it's just Kanto and Johto, with post-game Gensokyo, because I recognize the hubris of my younger decisions). The game itself is currently into Johto, with Kanto completed, and has about 40 hours of game time under its belt. Of course, because I've been making it for five years, earlier segments are riddled with some shoddy design decisions, but shrug!

Unfortunately, an external harddrive meltdown in 2015 caused me to lose a bit of progress, and that's killed my motivation to work on the game since (even though I've rebuilt roughly everything I lost). Since then, I've been in a massive funk and unable to really do anything. Last year I was able to make Touhou Puppet Play ~ The Mansion Of Mystery for the PokeCommunity Game Jam in October (and i took second place if that counts for anything, but it was out of three so--). I'm also currently working on a few other side projects, namely Pokemon: Yitria Resurrection, which is a fangame as old as my interest in conceptualizing fan game ideas is. It is my true brain child, and I've put over 10 years of work into planning it, refining it, and making sure I get everything perfectly understood. Who knows, maybe someday soon there'll be a release for it up on these series of tubes we call the Internet.

I love fan games, I love seeing the effort and hard work, all the determination and perseverance, all the love that people pour into their projects. As an aspiring game developer, seeing people in similar boats as me, loving what they do, enjoying doing it, and sharing their work with everyone, it brings me such a great and profound feeling of joy to see it. I love to be around those people, and just watch as they create magnificent things. At heart, I love creativity and ingenuity.

I'm not much of a forum person unfortunately, so I can't guarantee that I'll be posting here super actively, but I'll occasionally pop in to remark or meme, as i am want to do. If you'd like to get in contact with me, I'm reachable on Discord if you're on the RC Discord Server, as well as my (Tumblr) (accounts), so if you ever want to contact me for anything go right ahead!
