Would like to install EBS+Add it to my game

I've seen differing tutorials, suggestions and methods for installing Elite Battle System (and similar additions to your game like Modular Menu). However every time I've tried I've come up short either because development was discontinued or my attempts to add it just doesn't work. My most recent attempt tried to use Elite Plugin Installer but that crashed my computer and then came up with script errors whenever I restarted it. What I'm asking is for someone to guide me through the process because I'll be honest I don't really know what I'm doing and I'm just getting confused. If I have to manually install it I'll do it, just guide me step-by-step. Thank you for your time and hopefully your help.

Download the latest version of EBS from its website, then paste the zip in your games root folder and extract the zip. You should see a file called "script.txt". Open that file up and copy the contents. Open your game if it isn't already then navigate to the scripts section, make a new script by right clicking the list and naming it Elite Battle System (or anything, it doesn't matter.). Paste the text you copied earlier from "script.txt" into the new script you just made. Make sure its above Main (which is another script). You must have Luka. SJ's scripting utilities or you will get a script error. Make sure Scripting Utilities is above EBS.

"Elite Plugin Installer" was discontinued, so don't use that. If the issue persists, erase all traces of EBS in all folders and try again. If that doesn't work, something irreversible happened to your project and you should load a backup, if you have one. This is why it is recommended you make a backup before installing any scripts. I'm not very well versed in managing scripts but I tried my best to help :)
