When i go into debug mode while "play testing" i try to find the "add trainer" sections but they are not there. ive tried in the menu and while in game but it has nothing there.
You first have to create the trainer event. Then, the first time you interact with the trainer, you get to add them and choose their pokémon. Here's some more info about trainer events from the wiki.
