EBS evolution level up error

So I tried leveling up a Pokemon and when it reaches the level needed to evolve, I got this error. This happens when either leveling up normally or using Rare Candy.
This one seems EBS exclusive.

Anyway to fix it?

EBS only affects the visuals of the battle system, it shouldn't be related to this level-up issue. Is it a specific Pokemon that causes the error, or any Pokemon?

Let's see...the first run on with this error is when I tried to evolve Chikorita into Bayleaf via Rare Candy. Later on, I tried to do the ol' fashioned level up
but the error showed up too. Happens again when I did Chimchar to Monferno.
