Introduction
It all started when I discovered Pokemon Fang Games. I played some really good ones, but the ones I found at that time had mostly regular starters. I haven’t found one that satisfied my need for a ghost starter. So I thought that would be it! A Pokemon game where you could choose a ghost, dark or psychic type, but that revolved mostly around ghost Pokemon. The first time I ever tried to start making my game, I actually failed at getting Essentials to work. A few months later I managed to get started. At first I just tried out how everything works and making a demo.
Besides the different starters, I also wanted the player to not rely on Cut, Strength and so on, since I felt like there are enough moves that you could use to cut trees, move rocks, etc.

Since the first release of Chapter 1 a lot of things have changed. I now got some people who help me and a lot of graphics were improved. So we decided before releasing Chapter 2 we would do an overhaul of the first chapter. This is not just purely cosmetic but also neccessary for some new systems to work correctly. We balanced out some things, added trainers and improved the maps.
As of now we are done with most of the work.

So stay tuned and get hyped for the overhaul.


Story
In Pokemon Hollow you play as a new member of the Black Syndicate, a group dedicated to do what’s right. But what is right and what is wrong? While you try to become an Admin of the Syndicate you get to deal with so called "Hollows", ancient Ghost Pokemon with special abilities. But don't expect anything to be easy.

About Chapter 1 - Ghosts from the past (summary)
This chapter sets off the story and includes the introduction to the first main characters, the choice of a starter (obviously), first encounter with a Hollow and the first badge.

Features (implemented)
Pokemon related
- Hollow form for certain Ghost Pokemon
- unique abilities for Hollows
- including Mons up to Gen 7 (not avaiable yet though)
- wild Pokemon have a 0.5% chance to have it's hidden ability

Story related
- Admin System, starter will determine the Admin type you will become, gain reputation points to rank up
- your decisions affect the story
- 18 different starters (one for each type, no classic starters)
- journal / quest system to keep track of missions

Gameplay
- no HM restriction, use a variety of different moves to cut trees, smash rocks or move boulders
- challeging puzzles
- new obstacles (breakable walls, sand slides, portals)
- custom menu in smart watch style, customizable (own background picture, turn on/off sounds, behaviour)
- level caps for all your Pokemon
- a small crime system (there are only a few things related to that and it won't be too much since we don't want to focus on crimes)
- change control settings
- speed up toggle,usable in field and in battle, different speeds can be set in the menu (press F)
- ability messages in battle

Graphical
- custom animations for cut to match the move used
- custom trainer card
- custom summary screen, holds additional infos
- custom player sprite
- window and street lights at night
- custom battle UI

Other
- lots of references to other games, movies, shows, etc.... like A LOT
- quick save button (press D)
- multiple save files
- ready menu (press S)

Features (planned)
- get boosts in battle based on your rank (similar to badge boosts)
- different clothing based on your rank
- more custom abilities

Overall it looks good, but I think it still needs some polishing in battles
T.he custom pokemon summary looks dope tho.

Hmm this looks really interesting I may wait until the overhaul before I download it and start playing it. It will be really cool to see how this game goes. And I guess it doesn't count for certain starters that turn into half ghost, psychic, or dark , Rowlet, Fennekin, and Froakie for example since their final forms gains that typing.
