V16 Vs V17

Now, I'm working on a game and I really want to use the BW2 Mods. The problem is, I'm using v17 of Essentials and the BW2 Mods aren't compatible on it.
What should I do? Should I wait until a BW2 Mod for v17 comes out (which I know that Marin is working on it) or maybe I should just install v16?

Generally, the latest version of Essentials is what you wanna be using. If you go for 16 you're completely missing out on all the updates and bug fixes. Plus, there's no support if you're using an outdated version and run into problems.

What exact parts of the BW2 Mods did you want to use? There are probably some public resources that could fill in most of the blanks.

I'd like to use most of them. Specifically:
Gender Selection Scene, Save Screen, Bag Scene, Menu, Pokédex, Registered Item Scene, Summary Scene, Location Window, Options Scene, Mart Scene, Storage Scene and Receive Item Scene.
