Can we have lunch first though?
Footstep sounds should have their pitch randomly altered each time they're played; it'll make them less repetitive. And maybe they can depend on the terrain you're walking over. Don't have footstep sounds while surfing or sliding on ice.
If you have the right sound effects. I tried making my own once. Sounded like I was pounding the drum every time I stepped on a tile.
Could be. I wasn't the one who tried it, but maybe I'll touch base with the guy and see what file format he was using.
Isn't that only the first time? Then they're buffered and play immediately. See: bumping into walls.
Interesting. From what I recall, footstep sounds in Essentials had some lag associated with it. Maybe there's a way around that, though.
I saw this post on the Pokémon RMXP subreddit, and I found it really inspiring. Their goal is to make a Pokémon game for the visually impaired! It doesn't look like they're trying to recruit a team yet, but they need some advice about how to start and to achieve certain features. I've already typed up a response, but I thought it would be a good idea to see if any you want to add to it (or contradict what I said if I'm completely wrong about something, which is entirely possible!!). That is all! C:
